Electrical Switch

Electrical Switch

The switch is the main feature in the level - activate it and bolt of electricity flies along the channel, damaging any vehicles in the way and sending them flying. You can use the switch by driving along the narrow walkway (although this can be destroyed) or a well placed burst of mosquito fire or rocket. It's most effective when opponents are trapped between the two buildings in the channel with no means of escape.

The Tunnels

The Tunnels

There are a total of four tunnels in the arena, all you need to do is get enough speed and jump into them. You'll then be randomly transported to one of the others - often, powerups are suspended in the air outside these tunnels, so you'll only be able to collect them by teleporting like this. The other way to collect the powerups is to drive on top of the tunnels and drive straight off the edge, collecting the goodies on the way down. By far one of the best uses for the mines is to drop them (via cactus patch) as soon as you hit the ground - this is the point where all vehicles leaving the tunnel hit, so this is a nasty surprise for the next player to exit the tunnel! Just remember that when you decide to use a tunnel you might end up on a patch of your own mines. Finally, if you fall off the walkway, you'll be shot out of one of these tunnels - another reason to leave a patch of mines for unfortunate opponents.

The Walkway

The Walkway

The walkway extends out over the water and has three platforms, each with its own generator. Blowing up a generator will reveal powerups, but there are a couple of things to watch out for. First, try and stay well back from the explosion, since it can knock you into the drink, leaving someone else free to get the powerups. Second, the debris caused by the explosion can also hit you and knock you off, so wait till it's clear before collecting your spoils. On the other hand, anyone venturing out onto the walkway is a sitting duck, so by either shooting at them directly (e.g. crater-maker), or even funnier, taking out one of the generators, you can send them packing. Finally, it's also possible to destroy the actual walkways that link the generators, making it impossible to get to the generators.

Electricity Generators

Electricity Generators

If you're being tailed you'll have to navigate through the electricity bolt using spidey-like reflexes. Otherwise, take out the generator closest to the electricity to switch it off - either way, powerups await on the other side.

Museum & Traffic Meters

Museum & Traffic Meters

More of a scenic diversion, the museum usually houses a wrench - but for a diversion, try taking out the parking meters and watch the quarters fly! You can also take out the fence, which lets you drop back into the arena, collectin a crate onthe way.

Generators

Generators

The rather unassuming buildings either side of the channel can be destroyed to reveal generators - take these out when enemies are nearby to deliver additional damage.

Pylons

Pylons

When you take out the pylons, they'll topple to the ground or explode instantly - either way, this clears the area for powering up the incline.

Weapons & Powerup Spawn Points

Weapons & Powerup Spawn Points

Taking out the tower that line the dam itself will not only reveal a pickup or two but reveal ramps that allow you to launch back into the arena.
