The Lighthouse
The only way to get into the lighthouse is via the (long and winding) road that leads up to the base. Shoot at the doors a couple of times to open them and enter - you'll be transported right to the top and launched back into the arena, this time with Hoverpods attached. As the camera starts to pan back, start pumping the gas button, as this will keep you airborne for longer. Timed correctly, you'll land on the roof of the Transporter Building, where Green Crates and Powerups await.
Cranes
The cranes perform a useful function, by picking up any vehicles that have fallen into the water - though you are still vunerable to attack while dangling in the air!
Transporter Building
There are numerous doors on this building, not forgetting the hatch on the cliff-side. Entering the building will randomly expel your vehicle from one of the other doors - if this happens to be into the water, you'll be furnished with Propulsion Units. This is a good facility for escaping from enemies as in they will have no idea which area you'll appear in - and the good news is that it works even when destroyed!
Repair Station
Park on this ramp to start topping up your health - the downside is that it's right out in the open and as such, an easy target. Once destroyed, it no longer functions - and watch out for nearby trucks that will bump you off it without warning.
Water Areas
The water areas contain various powerups, including a couple on the narrow L-shaped walkway - thought it's easier to launch over the this area from the water rather than navigate it on land.
Bridges and Trucks
Various features interact with each other in this level - cargo is loaded and unloaded between the trucks and barges and the bridges raise and lower to let them through. You can interrupt this flow in a number of ways - destroy the cargo to release powerups, take out or stop the trucks (by pulling in front of them to slow their progress) and destroy the cranes to put another spanner in the works. The bridges can also be hit, reducing the options for getting from one side of the arena to the other.
Weapons & Powerup Spawn Points
Lots of pickups in the water, but try the area that has lots of red containers, as they often hold shields.
